Starting the AGW Packet Engine |
Click
on the Icon AGW Packet Engine.
Then
you will see a Icon in the Taskbar.
| 3.
Configure the AGW Packet Engine |
In
the following section the configuration of AGWPE for a 1k2 BayCom
(PC-COM) Modem is explained. Be aware that BayCom (PC-COM) Modems
do NOT work under WinNT, Win2000 and WinXP.
Click
on the Icon in the taskbar. In the menu select properties.
In
the RadioPort selection click on "New Port"
In
the following Dialogbox press OK, then a new Window will open it
self:
Here
you must select the COM Port, 1200 BaudRate, Tnc Type " BayCom
serial" and Tnc Sub Type "KISS Simple". "Tnc
Commands" (at the very top) can be left by the default.
Then click OK. A Info Box tells you that you have to restart the
AGWPE. Please do so.
After AGWPE has startet again you should see a small TNC very near
the AGWPE-Icon in the task bar. This TNC displays the Modem. If
you look at the TNC you can see that the LEDs are flashing when
data is received and when data is transmitted.
This was the configuration of the AGW Packet Engine. The configuration
for Soundcard or other Modems/TNCs is very similar to this. Just
have a try!

the AGW Packet Engine

If
